Second Degree Heart Block (Mobitz Type II)

What Is It?

The electrical impulses starting in the atria (upper chambers) are unable to reach the ventricles (lower chambers) because of interference from somewhere below the AV node.

Additional Information

This rhythm may be followed by third degree heart block or long pauses.
