What Is It?

Heart beats originating from more than one location within the ventricles.

Additional Information

The vast majority of Ventricular Ectopics have no symptoms. However, some people may feel a skipped heartbeat or palpitations. In general VE’s are harmless. However, diagnosing them and ruling out heart disease are important.

Treatment Options

For those people experiencing chest pain, they may be recommended by their doctor to take medication such as beta blockers or antiarrhythmics. Others may just need to limit or eliminate their intake of caffeine. Your doctor may want to try and find the cause and recommend a treatment for this.
