What Is It?

An abnormal, very slow heart rate.

Additional Information

This rate is below the level one would expect even with a very high level of fitness. It suggests that there are problems with the heart’s ability to control it’s own heart rate.

Treatment Options

A heart rate this slow is likely to be associated with important symptoms of dizziness or may even be associated with fainting. It is important that advice is sought on an urgent basis unless it is already known as a chronic condition which has already been investigated and advice given.
